KONY 2012

        1. This documentary is to raise awareness on the issue of Joseph Kony. Joseph Kony is a man who is the leader of the Rebels in Uganda. He abducts children and uses them as children soldiers or sex slaves. This video shows what Kony is doing and then gives many ways to help stop him by the end of 2012. This video is made to stop him.

        2. The filmmaker made this film to raise awareness or in his words, "make Kony famous". He wants people to know who Kony is and what he is doing. He wants to make this issue important to everyone so that the government won't give up on it and pull out all the troops they sent over to Uganda. If something is important to the people of the U.S. then it will be important to the government.

The filmmaker sets a strategy to stop Kony. He made a video to make Kony famous so that people would take action on the issue which would show the White House that people care. That would help keep American troops in Uganda which would help capture Kony.

         3. I don't really know if this video is going to be affective. I think it'll be affective for those who JUST watch this video and really don't do any research. For others, this video might not be enough and when they do more research they won't find what they see enough to actually put their money into it.
It's definitely a good way to create awareness, but I'm not to sure if many will actually take action on this issue. Many people will eventually just forget because our style of life keeps us very busy. If you want people to really believe in what you're trying to fight for then you need to give sources where people can find out more information on what the actual issue is and on what your organization is actually doing.

          4.  I believe it is a good idea. It definitely helps the situation become more popular, but I don't know if many people will actually know who he is if they don't take the time to watch the video or research. Which most people won't take that time. Some of my friends thought Kony was part of the presidential campaigning.

                5. Raising awareness is simply letting people know about a situation. Calling to action is asking people to do something to help stop a situation.

6.        I would like to raise the issue of teen depression. Teen depression is everywhere and so common. Not only are the teens affected, but so are their friends and family. Especially, if they end up committing suicide. People need to care about this issue because it's not going away or getting better. These teens end up hurting themselves whether it's by eating disorders, cutting, or suicide.
We can all improve this just by being a friend and not causing verbal or physical harm to others. In other words, don't bully and be nice. There could easily be classes or support groups in schools or churches helping teens deal with depression. This issue will never go away, but it can be improved. PAA can create some sort of support group or just a place to hang out where teens can talk about what they're feeling. This can be done just by a few students supporting the idea!

    7.       I would take pictures of the struggles of musicians trying to make a job out of their music. I would take pictures of musicians performing on the streets, in small clubs or restaurants, and then in a huge concert. I'd ask them what struggles they have to deal with everyday, how hard it actually was to make themselves known, and how their beginning compares to their current situation. My point of view would be that of the musicians.

    Portrait Photographers

    Annie Leibovitz

I noticed that Annie takes a lot of pictures of celebrities. She puts them in different scenes whether it be in an old fashioned setting or a Disney setting. She doesn't take many close-ups and most of her pictures are very dark in the sense of colors. She seems to capture an almost complete story in each of her photographs. I noticed that a lot of her pictures involve a lot of Photoshop, but that makes them all the more interesting.
